Abstract: The fiber structure and quality of the ramie with different growth period were researched.It is found that appropriately advanced cutting can decrease ramie's crystallinity,orientation,and degree of lignification,improve its wearability such as moisture permeability,thermal transportation,and softness.Fine denier fiber which has little itching feeling and does not tend to cracking in processing can be obtained.This ramie has enhanced its quality,retains its green nature,and is suitable for development of knit goods.
