Abstract: For determining all factors of a recipe,this paper defines the scope of the color matching system in a more complete sense than the present color matching software does,analyzes the functional components,and adopts the expert system as the essential technology so that the experts' knowledge can be fully exploited in selecting dyes.Complex factors such as the behavior of dyes and shade pitching are processed and automatically grouped and stored in the database before color matching,in an attempt to simplify the subsequent work of dyes selection.It is considered that the rule for adjusting dyes dosage should be established according to the experiences acquired from routine production.
