Abstract: In order to get aware of the influence of dyeing process on the dyeing property of linen fabrics,dyeing experiments of linen fabrics were performed with reactive dyes using four dyeing methods,i.e.,exhaust,paddrycure,paddrypadsteam,and cold pad-batch,and their influence on build-up,(K/S) value,penetrating property and color fastness were investigated.Among the three padding techniques,the K/S value of the fabric dyed using paddrypadsteam technique was the highest,while the K/S value of the fabric dyed using paddrycure was the lowest.In addition,ring dyed phenomena was obvious with the linen fabric dyed by paddrycure.The other three dyeing techniques impart the fabric good penetrating property.In the case of dyeing technique,it made little difference in color fastness of linen fabrics.
