Abstract: Most of the knitted wear manufacturers still use the traditional specification algorithms to make pattern.This method is short of adaptability and lack of theoretical basis,and the resulting apparel has some drawbacks in body fitness.The pattern of the knitted apparel is required not only to meet the functional needs,but also to guarantee the rationality and aesthetics of the style. Thus,the prototype design of weft knit(women′s) wear is created by a method combining the 2-D and 3-D design technologies and applied to the manufacture.This is meaningful for developing the pattern design theoretical system which is accommodated to the development of knitted apparel.
