Abstract: This paper reviews the research for clothing functions based on the body-clothing-environment system theory,including clean-keeping,safety protection and climate regulating.It analyses the main factors influencing clothing functions and their acting rules from clothing hygiene,human physiology,psychology,clothing materials,and environmental engineering.It addresses the research history, progress and significance,test method,and design standards of clothing functions at home and broad,along with the existing problems and developing trend.
