Abstract: The progress of study on pressure comfort of garment is divided into three chronological phases,which respectively are early study(from 1930′s to 1970′s),medium-term study(from 1980′s to 1990′s)and current study(from 2000′s to now).The paper reviewed hot studies of each phase and analyzed existing defects and advised possible solutions.In conclusion,the paper suggested several ideas and new trends,one was to associate the microstructure of fabric,human skin and soft tissue with their macro-performance,and another was to establish a system which can forecast pressure comfort of garment based on dynamic mechanical interactions between human body and garment while considering the human′s physiological and psychological factors,and the final was to build an integrated system which can forecast the human′s whole sensation comfort.
