Abstract: Bias cut is a method cuting on a diagonal(45°),a technique lies between planar cuting and three-dimensional cuting.It utilizes the oblique extending characteristics of the material and takes the 45°of the material as the vertical side of the fabric.When the garment is made of,flace and clothing bottom has the natural wavy distributions and takes on even state.After studying two instances of six-piece dresses and two-piece dresses,the basic processes of bias cut can be confirmed as follows: first,turn the material 45°,then proceed to design.Apart from skirts and dresses,bias cut can be used in making trousers,coats,etc.
