Abstract: XML is a state-of-the art technology which is utilized for integrating the information along the textile and apparel supply chain.This paper presents an XML—based quick response(QR) framework for textile and apparel supply chain.XML data sharing,data linking and the bidirectional mapping rule of XML and database are studied and XML model of quick respond system for the textile and apparel supply chain is investigated.By means of XML trans-platform information integration ability,the model improves the trans-platform mutual communication mechanism and links all the data concerning clothing fabric supply and garment design in the upstream and garment manufacturing and selling in the downstream so that the clothing fabric supplier,garment manufacturer and garment retailer can commonly share the real-time data information on the supply chain,thus shortening the lead-time and make a quick respond to the changing market.
