Abstract: The forming principle of a wrinkle on the surface of a garment is analyzed,and adoption of image technology for extraction,processing,analysis and evaluation of garment wrinkle information is proposed.A blouse wearer trial is conducted so that the images of wrinkles developed on the surface of the blouse with different postures of the wearer are collected.The image processing technique is introduced and using the grey of images as basis,the data reflecting the wrinkles is extracted.After analyzing the data,the indexes for evaluating garment wrinkles such as the depth,width and number of wrinkles are presented.The feasibility of digital expression of wrinkle characteristics by means of image technique is discussed from theoretical and practical aspects.
