Abstract: The hollow yarn was made by utilizing a kind of partly water soluble fiber as filling material when spinning,which formed a special structure after special tensionless finishing,that is,different compactness existed between the inner and outer layers of the yarn with hollows in the center.A comprehensive and systematic analysis was made of the characteristics and forming mechanism of the hollow yarn,and main process parameters were optimized.Tips for downstream product development were discussed.
