Abstract: The use process of the computer-aided color matching system(CMS) could be divided into three stages: the pre(selection of dyes and process),the main(computation of dosage) and the after(selection of recipe) stages.A review on the research work regarding CMS is made inline with these three stages.It points out that ignorance of research for automation in the latter two stages is rather common.The three major color matching methods in the middle stage are discussed.And the color matching system program based on non-exact value computation is presented.
