Abstract: By a great many of tests on the breaking tenacity and breaking elongation of single filament, the research gives the method in determing the rational sample size in the testing using statistical method and monte carlo simulation means. And the theoretical results are verified by simulation, which affords credible and useful theoretical basis for the standard creation of this index.
