Abstract: Starting from the inherent physical features of the fur coat,its serviceability was analyzed.In a viewpoint of historical development and society progress,this paper expounded the transformation of the traditional fur coat from flaunting ranks and standings to flaunting riches.From the point of cultural exchange,the development course of seeking fashion and aesthetic feeling during the period of the Republic of China was discussed.Thus,it proves that the development of Chinese costume culture goes with the trend.
