Abstract: Based on the fieldwork of Dali Zhoucheng and Xizhou in Yunnan province and large number of Literatures, This article begins with the origin and the development status of the Bai National knot dyeing culture and analyses the dyes, production process to summarize the unique cultural environment characteristics of Bai nationality tie-dyeing technology behind the Yunnan Dali area and the folk custom culture connotation. On this basis, the author concludes how to break through the traditional process of Bai tie-dye design from pattern, technology, materials and color, as well as the mode of application in order to provide reference for the realization of the traditional fashion design process reengineering.
