Abstract:
In order to evaluate the sustainable development potential and enhance the sustainable development competitiveness for textile and apparel industry, the indicators for the competitiveness of sustainable development for textile and apparel industry wereanalyzed using analytic network process theory. Based on literature review, the competitiveness indicators of textile and apparel sustainable development were determined, which consist of three dimensions of 25 specific indicators. The three dimensions are industry development base, industrial coordination capability and industry sustainability. The relationship among the 25 indicators was analyzed and the model of competition evaluation was developed for textile and apparel industry sustainable development. The results show that the three most important factors influencing the textile and apparel sustainable development competition are industry organization and structure, industry ecological coordination and technological support, demonstrates that current primary task to enhance textile and apparel industry competition is to promote the industry structure adjustment, transformation and upgrading, coordinated development with the envi-ronment and the application and dissemination of new technology.
