Abstract: There are two kinds of levelling agent for acid dyes,fiberphilic type and dyestuffphilic one.The former improve the dyeing result by competing with acid dyes anion,the latter achieve the levelling effect by improving the solubility of acid dyes and combining with acid dyes ion.The research and development of leveling agent for acid dyes was reviewed.
