Abstract: The development of hemp jean fabric involved the following steps: determination of the style which can embody the characteristics of hemp and selection of appropriate blending material;followed by spinning and weaving according to the optimized pattern and weave,density and tightness;and finally,dyeing,and softening finishing with denature alkali.This novel fabric has such properties as rough style which is unique to the hemp,air and moisture permeability and,resistance to ultraviolet,crispy handle,comfort and good shape retention.
