Abstract: For garment production,the measurement of 430 young women aged from 18～23 in Jiangsu and Zhejiang area were taken through scanning with 3D-body scanner.Then the typical indexes deciding and distinguishing women′s body characteristic were obtained by cluster analyzing of the data of 46 parts influencing the body form.They were height,front length,breast depth,bust circumference /hip size and shoulder width.A ridge regression model was established which could be applied to the detail specifications and basic parts of the body,so the detail specifications could be acquired through typical indexes.The data from the prediction model are precise,have prominent correlation,can make the garment pattern more precise and suitable.
