Abstract: The article discussed the current status and urgent needs of information technology in the textile and garment industry in China and suggested that ASP(application service provider) mode be utilized to promote information technology for the textile and garment industry.And its feasibility was analyzed from the developing trend in ASP and the viewpoint of ASP.Some special and feasible services including garment CAD data format conversion were introduced.
