Abstract: The water-repellent treatment of spunlaced Terylene nonwoven fabric was performed with fluorine_contained waterproof agent DF-3000,and the influence of the agent concentration, curing temperature and time on the result was investigated. The finishing process was optimized and the method for balancing color fastness and water repellency was developed. The results showed that when DF-3000 concentration is(8 g/L,) curing at 170~(175 ℃)×(1 min,)the water_repellent rating of the treated nonwoven fabric is 5 and its hydrostatic pressure property test result is above(16 cm). Also we find that adding polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) into the water_repellent agent can assure both the water_repellent property and color fastness of the treated fabric.
