Abstract: This paper presents a method to study the creasing recovery property of woven fabrics under small creasing force based on the elastic property and the internal friction effect of fabric using a simple model. The relationship between creasing recovery force and its bending deformation of wool and wool/polyester woven fabrics are analyzed. From the needs of practical research situation,a testing method has been presented to study the creasing and bending behaviors of wool and wool/polyester fabrics based on the KES-FB3 compressometer.Parameters of the theoretical model equation are obtained from the real tests and the comparison of the experimental results and theoretical predictions indicates that the agreement between them is satisfactory for wool and wool/polyester fabrics.
