Main types and implementation methods of apparel mass customization

Abstract: The technological system and guideline of mass customization(MC) are elaborated.The market requirements of apparel MC are analyzed.Main types of apparel MC are discussed.These types include customization for high-end customer,institution,retail store,foreign trade and standard apparel.The characteristics of each type of apparel MC and their implementation methods are discussed.These methods include rapid design of customized apparel,production management,customer relationship management,and manufacturing resources sharing between MC and batch production.Finally some typical cases of apparel MC are analyzed.
