Abstract: Sea-island fiber flock in substitution for the traditional fibers in electrostatic flocking radically solves the constrain of flocked product development due to the size of fiber. The mechanism about how superfine fibers charging in electric field was analyzed.Flocking properties can be examined according to the number of planted flock. The independent variables affecting available flock quantity including voltage, electrode separation and flocking time have been investigated in this paper.Experimental results show that increasing the flocking time and voltage, increases the planted flock, while the effect of increasing the electrode separation is on the contrary.
