Abstract: For improving the shaping, fitness, and stability of 3-D textile products,an in depth study was undertaken on the design of T-shaped 3-D fabrics with interweaving structure.According to the design, the weft wise orthogonal structure was adopted and the route of picks for weaving this kind of fabric was determined. It shows that the structural requirements of a specially shaped 3-D fabric can be met when the route of picks is so designed that they are interwoven with multi-layer of ends. This study has certain significance for designing 3-D fabrics with complex structures.
