Abstract: Acrylic acid was grafted onto the surface of polyester textiles by exposing the textiles to the plasma, followed by the chemical reaction. The influencing factors such as the concentration of the acrylic acid and auxiliary as well as reaction temperature on the blood compatibility was studied and the optimized treatment conditions were suggested.Firstly, the polyester textile was treated by plasma in which the vacuum degree was(50 Pa),the power was(100 W,) and argon was used for(3 min.) Then, acrylic acid was grafted onto the surface of plasma treated polyester textiles by chemical reaction in which the concentration of DP was(0.4%,) NNO was(0.3%,) reaction temperature was(85 ℃) and initiator was benzoyl peroxide(BPO).The results showed that the blood compatibility of the polyester textiles thus treated was good.
