Abstract: The method of psychological perceptions was applied to investigate the values of the PVC crinkle products in clothing market.The feelings about fabric appearance was collected and analyzed.By factorial analysis,the main sensation factors of fabric appearance were obtained.10 kinds of fabric in common use was treated by PVC heat crinkle technique.10 pairs of samples were evaluated,each containing a treated and untreated sample.The results of evaluation were analyzed by means of psychological perceptions and SPSS software.Factors constituting perception image and the evaluation scales for apparel with crinkled effect produced by PVC heat crinkle technique were researched.The results reveal that the perception image evaluation scale can find use in designing a garment with crinkle produced by heated PVC membrane.The perception image of fabric after crinkle treatment has been greatly improved,thus proving that this technique has market value.
