Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to research effects of heat setting temperature on the properties of knitted polyester fabrics, especially the effect on anti-blood coagulation. The structures, activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),prothrombin time(PT),blood platelet adherence property,water-absorbing property and dyeing property were tested on heat-set knitted polyester fabrics at different temperatures. The results showed that with rising of the heat setting temperature, the shrinkage rate of the fabric in transverse and machine directions increases. The water-absorption,anti-blood coagulation and dyeing properties of the fabric become the worst when heat setting is conducted at 150℃.By comparison of APTT and PT,can see that the heat setting of the fabric greatly inhibits its activation of exogenous coagulation factor PT.
