Abstract: The forming of yarn is characterized by the changes of the space arrangement orderliness of the short fibers or the filaments, so there exists the entropy change phenomenon. The entropy spinning theory would discuss the direction and the limitation of spinning. According to the different entropy changing directions the whole spinning system could be divided into two parts: the entropy producing system and the entropy reducing system, and consequently an entropy change modal could be built up, this supposes a possibility to quantify the relationship between the entropy change and the statement change of fibers’ arrangement in the system. Many experiments indicated that the entropy change, which is the basic reason for the 3-dimensional geometry structure and properties changes of the yarn during spinning, has an internal link with the resultant yarn’s quality. So the researching work on the spinning entropy change theory is of vital importance for the yarn’s quality control and the yarn’s properties design, as well as for developing new spinning methods
