Abstract: To improve the flame retardant property of Anti-fcell® flame retardant fabric, the effects of yarn linear density, twist, structure, warp density, and surface density etc on Anti-fcell® fabrics’ flame retardant (FR) property were investigated using Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) test. The results showed that the FR property of the double-layer fabrics were better than that of the monolayer fabrics. The LOI value of these double-layer fabrics were all above 31.0%. Higher the density, yarn linear density and twist of the double-layer fabric, better its FR property. In addition, the FR properties of Anti-fcell®/FR-PET and Anti-fcell®/wool mixed nonwoven fabric were investigated. It was found that the LOI value of Anti-fcell®/FR-PET mixed nonwoven fabric was higher than 26% when Anti-fcell® fiber contained more than 60%. And the LOI of Anti-fcell®/wool mixed nonwoven fabric was higher than 26.5% when Anti-fcell® fiber contained more than 25%.
