Application of iteration function system’s fractal patterns in computerized hosiery machine

Abstract: Focusing on the some key issues encountered in sock pattern design and data storage, this job mainly presents some CAD methods based on the iteration function system and computer graphics and their software implementation though Visual C++. This related algorithms are successfully integrated into the developed jacquard software. The designed patterns can be converted to the control signal data by the coded function of the developed software and downloaded into the controller of a computerized hosiery machine by its USB communication interface. The controller may control a hosiery machine to weave corresponding patterns according to the control signal data. This work is valuable to enhancing the CAD level of sock pattern design and productivity of a computerized hosiery machine.
