Abstract: To provide a reference for conducting fiber manufacturers, the paper investigated the properties such as melting point, melting index and intrinsic viscosity of PET and carbon black/polyester (CB/PET) conducting master-batch with different mass fraction, analyzed the compound spinning process of conductive fiber, prepared a permanent conductive fiber with cross-section of three points exposed externally, and tested the properties of this conductive fiber. The results showed that with the CB mass fraction increasing, the melt flowing property of CB/PET conducting master-batch deteriorates. During compound spinning, with the increasing of CB mass fraction in CB/PET conducting master-batch, the spinning temperature and pressure should be increased accordingly. The conductivity of the fiber increased with increasing of CB mass fraction in CB/PET master-batch. The conductivity of the fiber declined with the drawing ratio increasing, and the optimum drawing ratio of conductive fiber is 1.5.
