Abstract: Neckline, wristband and pantalets are key parts of 3-D garment models. The extraction and editing on these boundaries play an important role in the 3-D garment fitting design. The garment mesh model firstly is pretreated by removing isolated triangles and repairing the holes. After extracting border points, it uses the non-uniform cubic B-spline curve to interpolate them and calculates the length of each boundary. Finally, a parallel tangent plane based on border points is constructed to add new points and create the extended border surface by the triangulation process. This method can be applied for the local adjusting and editing of 3-D garment mesh models.
