Abstract: In order to find out the influencing factors of knit trim collar stretchability, six different properties of knitted fabrics were Selected. Influences of performance of different fabrics and different sewing conditions on stretchability of trim collar were studied through experiments. The results show that fabric properties had greater impact on trim collar’s stretchability. Influences of the horizontal density, the density and elongation on trim collar stretch were positive correlation. The higher horizontal density, vertical density and elongation at break, the better the Stretchability trim collar. trim collar stretch was negatively correlated with the fineness. The smaller fineness , the better the stretchability of trim collar. When the fabric and stitch density were the same, stretchability of single-needle trim collar was better than the needle. When fabrics and number of needle were the same, the more stitch density, the better the stretch.
