Abstract: Automatic model style measurement based on automated body feature extraction is a method to collect anthropometric data in modal recruiting efficiently and accurately. Firstly we take measurements from 3D Laser Scanning data , then extract thirteen body features through approximate region estimation and exact landmark localization, and subsequently calculate the anthropometric data from coordinates of feature points and cross-planes. Six human subjects and a 3D Plaster mannequin were scanned and the scanning data were processed by the system. The measurement results demonstrate that this method is effective and robust.
