Abstract: Automobile seat cover fabric is a kind of composite material which is composited by fabric, polyurethane sponge layer and bottom fabric or film. Its performance is not only decided by its fiber, yarn, fabric’s structure, also affected by its composite technology to a large extent. This paper focused on the automobile seat cover fabrics’ flame lamination process, and described its present development status, principles, process and its influencing factors. On the other hand, to hot-melt lamination for example, discussed the composite technology’s development-trend. Automobile seat cover fabrics’ composite technology is toward a high-performance and environment-friendly direction.

Key words: automobile seat cover fabric, flame laminating, influencing factor, hot-melt laminating, developing trend
