Process and optimization of carding process of pure super-short cashmere on worsted system

Abstract: Based on worsted system, the pure slivers spun with super-short cashmere, whose length were less than 30mm, were achieved via orthogonal experimental, hence the optimal conditions of reprocessing were developed as follows: the number of the collocated working roll and stripped roll was one for loosening roll, two for breast cylinders, four for big cylinders, respectively, and Moller vegetable impurity removal was not employed. In addition, the tooth density of cylinder wire cloth and doffer wire cloth was 398 teeth/inch2, 403 teeth /inch2, respectively, and top production was 8g/m. The results demonstrated that the average losses of fiber length of the super-short cashmere sliver derived from optimal process were less than 0.5mm, and the number of the neps was less than 16 per gram. What was mentioned above met the demands of high-count yarns spun in the next process.
