Research on fiber tension in ring spinning triangle
Abstract: Spinning triangle is a critical region in the spinning process of staple yarn. Its geometry influences the distribution of fiber tension in the spinning triangle and consequently affects the properties of spun yarns. Of these the geometry parameters, the horizontal offset of the twisting point to the symmetric axis of nip line of the spinning triangle is considered as one of the most critical factors to influence the quality of yarn and attracted more and more attentions. Therefore, a new theoretical model describing the distribution of fiber tension in the general spinning triangle with Horizontal offset is given in this paper. It is shown that the fiber tension distribution in the spinning triangle can be determined with ease for different fiber feeding into and out the spinning triangle speed, input fiber tension, fiber tensile Young’s modulusand cross-sectional area, the number of fibers on each side of spinning triangle and the angle between each individual fiber and the center fiber.
