Abstract: In order to increase fixation rate of reactive dyeing silk and reduce the accelerant , with dioctyl dimethyl ammonium bromide (DODMAB) as accelerant, accelerating rule of dyeing silk with three reactive dyes was studied in this paper. The results showed that DODMAB was a high effective accelerant on dyeing silk with reactive dyes. When the concentration of DODMAB was 4 g/L, dye uptake rate of Reactive Red B-3BF, Reactive Yellow B-4RFN and Reactive Dark Blue B-2GLN reached to 98.7%, 95.32% and 94.96%, and fixation rate was 96.3%, 89.18% and 90.28%, respectively; Soaping fastness of reactive dyeing silk was 4-5 degree; The adsorption kinetic of three reactive dyes on silk with DODMAB as accelerant was found to follow the pseudo second-order kinetic model.
