Abstract: Compression garment, which have important roles to reduce sport injury and improve athletic ability, is focused on the 21st century functional sportswear. As a research direction of skin stretching under running status, a new method for the study of human dynamic skin stretching is proposed. By analyzing the running cycle of action and Lower limb angle, running cycle will be broken down into three static action—running stride, fall, backswing. This paper focuses on studying both transversal and longitudinal extension differences when human is running, through the use of the VITUS SMART three-dimensional scanning system. Thereby, data of lower limb skin extension under different postures have been collected and preliminarily find out the regularity of skin changes during running, and that also provides the theoretical basis for optimize structural design of sports tight pants.
