Abstract: The copolymethacrylate fiber with oil-absorbing properties which is prepared by using poly n-butyl methacrylate (PBMA) as monomer and hydroethyl methacylate (HEMA) as potential crosslinking agent is used in this paper to explore the Adsorption kinetics and adsorption thermodynamics of oily organic compounds ( such as trichlorethylene). The results show that : the capacity of the TCE adsorption on the copolymethacrylate fiber increases with the high temperature ;the adsorption reaction of the TCE adsorption on the copolymethacrylate fiber was consistent with a pseudo second order kinetic equation , and the adsorption isotherm could be described with Langmuir and Freundlich equations; the adsorption of TCE is a spontaneous and decalescence adsorption process.
