Abstract: Anthropometry is an important component element of fashion design, pattern research and clothing production. Anthropometric technology has gone through from contact to non-contact and from manual anthropometry to 2D image and 3D anthropometry. The thesis separates 2D image-based non-contact Anthropometry into three steps: image silhouette extracting and characteristic body measurement, girth calculation, analysis of error and accuracy, and analyses the methods of every step. The trait of the anthropometry operating simply helps it applying to apparel e-commerce---clothing MTM online.
