Abstract: The paper reviews the research progress about electromagnetic textiles. The preparing and properties and applications of fibers and plane fabrics and multi-layer plane fabrics and space structural fabrics with electromagnetic properties are presented. The application and characters of metalized fabrics made of inherently conductive polymer or metal or metalized fibers are synthesized. The problems in developing plane electromagnetic shielding fabrics are pointed. The electromagnetic fabrics should trend to multilayer composite fabrics and space structural fabrics. The period metal structural unit or period structure including special electromagnetic characters should be applied.
