Abstract:
The factors influencing the final colour yield and fastness of an ink-jet printed microfiber fabric were investigated. In order to improve the colour yield and processing fabric, the factors included the content of the pretreatment paste (the amounts of guar gum, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, penetrating agent and urea) and the steaming time. Four different inks – cyan, magenta, yellow and black – were used in this study .The results showed that apart from the influence of individual factors, the final colour yield also depended on the interaction effect of the factors. The optimized content of pretreatment were as follows: the amounts of guar 3%, urea 8 %,sodium dihydrogen phosphate 2 % and penetrating agent 1%;and the summational k/s value of four color achieved 49.2, nearly equal to transfer printed microfiber fabric. The level of all fastness is all above four.
