Abstract:
The dissolution of wool fiber was studied in the solvent system with 1 - allyl - 3 - methyl imidazole chloride (Amim [Cl]) as main solvent and mercaptoethanol as auxiliary reagent. The orthogonal experiments result indicates that the optimal dissolving process of wool fabric was that m (wool):m ( AMIM [Cl] ) :m (mercaptoethanol)= 1:8.5:1, temperature at 120 ℃ and time for 7.5 h. Under these treatment conditions, wool fibers can be completoly dissolved. The polarity of AMIM [CI] and mercaptoethanol can open the hydrogen bonds and disulfide bonds, in combination with the shearing of mechanical mixing, wool fiber can be dissolved.
