Abstract:

As the lengths of yak fibers are widely dispersed and cohesive forces among yak fibers are small, it will be hard for yarn spinning. In order to solve the problem, wool lubricant was used to improve the spinnability of yak fiber. For this purpose, yak fibers treated by oleine oil were compared with yak fibers which have not been treated. By choosing the fibers with the same linear density, the surface morphological structures, tensile performances, surface friction performances, moisture regains and yarn performances have been tested. The results show that yak hairs treated by oleine oil have clear scales, uniform transmission, similar scale angles when compared with yak hairs without oleine oil. And the strength, breaking tenacity, breaking elongation and repute work of yak hair with oleine oil are better. The yak hairs with oleine oil have smaller dynamic and static friction factor and smaller differential friction effect. At the same time, it can conclude that the oleine oil can improve the performances of the yak yarn, especially its evenness, and less thick, thin and neps.
