Abstract: Without hydrophilic groups,polyester fabric has poor hygroscopicity,which results in uncomfortable when wearing the garment made of polyester fabric.Therefore,it is necessary to modify the polyester fiber.The influence of the structure of fiber and it′s assembly on the hygroscopicity and moisture liberation properties of the fabric was studied in terms of the fiber morphology、yarn geometry and fabric structure design.The results show that the hygroscopicity and moisture liberation properties of the fabric made of trilobal polyester fiber are better than that of other polyester/cotton blended fabrics.The khaki fabric has good hygroscopicity and moisture liberation properties as well as comfortableness.
