Abstract: A series of polyether-silicone phosphate salt was prepared with polyether-silicone and P_2O_5 followed by neutralization, and the influence of the structure change of polyether side-chain on the property of the resulting product. With the increase of EO content or the rise of molecular in polyether chain, the surface tension of polyether silicone phosphates(SiPS)increases accompanied with the decrease of their wetting property, due to the improved hydrophilicity of SiPS.With the increase of the EO/PO ratio, the emulsified property of SiPS decreases due to the increased hydrophilicity, but the rise of molecular weight in polyether chain causes improved emulsified property. The rise of either the EO/PO ratio or the molecular weight of polyether chain can improve the water absorption of SiPS,which results in the improved antistatic property.
