Abstract: Through on-the-spot investigation in countrysides and towns in Zhejiang Shes area and research on the related historical documents,this paper macroscopically reveals and discusses aesthetics and art of Shes′ modern women formal dress in Zhejiang from three perspectives,i.e.,lay of form—primitive accumulation,lay of image—art accumulation,and lay of intuition—life accumulation.It points out the early common formal aesthetics of the human can also be found in color preference,constructions and patterns of Shes′modern women formal dress;the dress has the symbol′s function of totem assimilation,religion sentiment and exorcism as well as ornamental function of aesthetic art;the form,color,pattern and texture of formal dress represent the esthetics character about simplicity,straightforward and goodliness,which are the accumulation of life sentiment and social atmosphere.The formal dress is embodiment and continuity of Shes′aesthetic art,mentality and consciousness.
