Abstract: The linen fabric was grafted for the improvement of its dyeing behaviors. The graft-copolymer and mechanism of linen fabric that was grafted acrylic acid via plasma initiation were studied. The graft-copolymer was analyzed with infrared spectrum, thermal analysis, laser Raman spectum, and its structure was analyzed with scanning electron microscope. The mechanism of grafting was discussed with the testing of nuclear magnetic resonance. The feasibility of grafted acrylic acid via plasma initiation onto linen fabric was proved through these kinds of test.
