Abstract: Calculation of gradient data is the key in designing lapel collar.Based on understanding the structure of suit collar,multivariate analysis was used to research the calculation method of the gradient data of lapel collar.First,the most proper lapel ease was found via experiment.On the premise of fixed lapel ease,as for the three elements of rolled end point,the difference between rolled collar width and stand height,and lap allowance,different collars under different data conditions were drawn with CAD system to get different gradient data of lapel collar.And then,the data obtained was analyzed by using SPSS system to get the mathematical relationship.The gradient data of lapel collar can be calculated scientifically to solve the problems of unfit and bad appearance caused by inaccurate gradient data of lapel collar.
